Annual Conference
On October 19 and 20, 2012, a record number of reporters and students attended the Greater Washington DC Shorthand Reporters Association Annual Conference, hosted by the Court Reporting Institute of Arlington
This year's conference featured a number of speakers who addressed issues relevant to court reporting today, including employment outlook for reporters, professionalism, grammar and punctuation, and remote scoping for daily copy and expedites.

GWSRA STUDENT FIELD TRIP TO CAPITOL HILL
Through the diligent efforts of our student liaison, Terri Lankford, GWSRA was able to sponsor a student field trip to the US House of Representatives.
